Weapons for big hunting game: Recommended .30-06 and .308 or larger for most species; however the .375 is preferable for buffalo. Soft-point bullets are ideal for short range shots (boar, cougar, and Red stag) Long range bullets (e.g Nosler Ballistic Tips) for European mouflon, feral goat and four-horned rams Muzzleloaders; they are welcomed for all species.
Bow hunters: Ideal species are Red stag, Cougar and Wild boar. Clothing: Winter (June-August): Warm shirt and light jacket for daytime. Heavy, dark camo clothing, gloves and waterproof, insulated boots for night hunts. Summer (December- February): Regular jacket and light boots for night; camo T-shirt and camo light pants plus a cotton hat with 4-inch brim for daylight hours.
